Worklinq and AG5 are joining forces to help companies manage stricter regulatory requirements and strengthen the utilisation of employee competencies through automation and insight.
At a time when regulatory requirements for documenting employee competencies are becoming stricter – most recently with the EU’s ‘Union of Skills’ initiative and similar measures in the U.S. – Worklinq and AG5 are now entering into a strategic partnership focused on growth, scalability and customer value.
AG5 has a hyper focus on frontline workers and created a skills management platform used by large international companies with complex needs. The platform provides companies with a consolidated, real-time overview of employee’s verified skills data. Worklinq, which delivers advanced solutions for time & attendance registration and workforce scheduling, holds a strong position in complex work environments that require accurate and compliant workforce management.
As part of the partnership between the two companies, an API integration between their respective systems is being developed. This allows schedules to automatically take into account employee certifications and skills levels – a crucial function when authorities require documentation of competencies and certifications.
“We see a rapidly changing market with growing complexity and regulatory pressure. For our customers, it is no longer sufficient to simply plan shifts – they must be able to document that employees have the necessary competencies. Through our partnership with AG5, we are combining the best of both worlds and supporting our ambition to set the standard for workforce management in Europe,” says Jesper Zerlang, CEO of Worklinq.
“AG5 unifies all workforce skills data – from the shop floor to LMS systems – into a single source of clear, validated skills intelligence for decision-making. Worklinq builds on this intelligence to create strategic workforce plans. Together, we connect real-world skills with long-term strategy. This is the future: organizations making confident, data-driven decisions grounded in true skills insight,” says Rick van Echtelt, CEO of AG5.
Minimizing manual processes in the enterprise segment
AG5 has experienced a growing demand for scheduling functions that their platform was not designed to handle. At the same time, Worklinq has seen a clear trend among customers in the enterprise segment.
The partnership between Worklinq and AG5 stems from a shared ambition to solve a specific challenge for large companies: the need to connect skills management and workforce scheduling into a single, integrated solution. As compliance demands intensify and complexity grows in large organizations, there is an increasing need for solutions that reduce reliance on manual workflows – including the use of spreadsheets and disconnected systems.
“Workforce scheduling must be based more on actual competencies and documented certifications – it’s about enabling large companies to work more efficiently and securely, while complying with regulatory requirements,” says Jesper Zerlang, CEO of Worklinq.
